The Truth

"The truth is like the sun in that its benefit is entirely dependent on our distance from it."

Probably the realest statement in the history of all time. Kind of stings a little, huh?

but that doesn't mean that the farther the better.
It's an interesting quote, but it doesn't work completely for me.
I do like it tho, I'm just nitpicking

I forgot where I read it. I'm pretty sure it's either Salman Rushdie or Khaled Hosseini, though.

The truth is not as constant as the sun. There are different kinds and degrees of truth. For example, dogs are great domestic animals (a.k.a. pets). I derive no benefit from that whether I'm really close to it or far from it. How do you even measure such a thing?

I prefer:
The truth is a like a bag of skittles. You never know what you're gonna get. But there are many different colors to choose from. Sometimes you're in the mood for a specific color, and sometimes you don't care. Ultimately, it's all the same chewy truth inside. Sometimes you don't want skittles at all. And you say "fuck off" to just about any semblance of Skittlage (i.e., truth) that comes your way.

Very real quote, and true depending on the situation
