Do you get annoyed when people read over your shoulder? For example, if you're on the train and you open up the newspaper and someone standing behind you or sitting next to you starts reading your paper, too.
I would once I found out who it was, because whenever it's happened to me, their staring came hand in hand with their hot breath. Otherwise, I would even know, but thats rare.
I do the over the shoulder reading all the time, but I get annoyed because most people read so slowly that I'm finished and they're still on the first paragraph. If you don't want people reading over your shoulder, take a taxi or throw a blanket over your head and read with a flashlight. It's called public transportation for a reason, there isn't much privacy. Plus, I'm discreet and I don't read newspapers on the train.
I would like to begin my comment by saying that this particular post discriminates against private readers (such as myself). But "hypothetically" if I were a public reader I don't think I would mind so far as the person was: (1) a cute kid, (2)a cute adult male, or (3)a person who read fast and was discreet about being a paper peeper.
Yeah paper peeper is pretty good. I get very annoyed when people do this to me, but I found myself doing it to someone sitting next to me this morning! I just couldn't stop myself! It was only like captions though, and not actual stories.
